Why Dabnis AI was Created?

Autonomous sovereignty, data security. Low fixed costs.

While the latest AI models are capable of some amazing feet's the vast majority of the cognitive processes that AI could assist, or replace within today's businesses do not need the power of these latest AI models. If you do not require: scientific research, software development, advanced media generation etc. Then most of the business AI cost on remote API token usage on these latest AI models is probably wasted.

What AI Does Business Need?

The answer to this is obviously subjective and is dependant on the nature of the business in question, but I believe that we can draw some common requirements and constraints to guide us towards an acceptable answer.

  • AI that gives a return on investment by way of the following: efficiency, increased performance; increased profit; improved quality of product, or service.
  • AI that can be deployed incrementally into existing processes.
  • AI that does not require extra staff, or specialised staff at higher costs.
  • AI that is cost affective.

These are just some of the factors that I considered when I first started to develop Dabnis AI

Sensitive Data Sovereignty.

Many business sectors: Medical; Healthcare; Finance can be excluded from the AI revolution due to data privacy laws and regulations that prevent the transfer of sensitive data to remote cloud based AI systems.

The above points to the ideal AI business solution being an 'air gapped' solution, totally discontented from the internet by default.

The Cost of AI for Business

As many businesses are starting to learn, the cost of remote enterprise AI is not cheap, and given the need for return on investment (ROI) by those who provide these AI services, these costs are likely to rise in the near future.

A fear for many businesses is that as they become reliant on remote AI systems to the extent where they also become vulnerable to cost increases from these services as they claw back ROI.

It's only a matter of time before ROI pressures drive up remote AI costs. Today costs are held to make the use off AI commercially attractive, and drive market share gains. In the future AI costs may be held at a level where they are only competitive against the cost human employment.

A Generic Solution

To be of any real use my AI solution would need to be generic and have the ability to be configured to meet the needs of any business. It would also need to be able to interface with a businesses existing systems and processes.

An AI Solution that was Scalable

While the ultimate goal was to create an AI solution that was capable of cloning an entire business. The reality is that business is still, in part sceptical and cautious about AI, so a solution that could tolerate risk management was required. It needed to have an incremental deployment strategy
